The EU Green Bond Regulation and Securitisation

The European Commission recently proposed a framework for the issuance of green bonds, which would provide more transparency and clarity to investors and which includes specific provisions for green securitisations. Additionally, the European Central Bank has also been exploring ways to use securitisation as a tool to fund green projects. These initiatives have created an optimistic climate for green finance in Europe, with increased investor interest and potential for growth.
