Spain - Spanish Government approves new legislation on equal pay and equality plans

On 13 October 2020 Spain’s government issued two Royal Decrees on equality: Royal Decree 901/2020 on equality plans and their registration, also amending earlier legislation on the registration and deposit of collective employment agreements and arrangements (“RD 901/2020”), which will come into force on 14 January 2021; and Royal Decree 902/2020, on equal pay for women and men (“RD 902/2020”), which will come into force on 14 April 2021. Both were published in the state gazette on 14 October 2020.
