Moving up into third gear: EU MiFID Review is ready to enter "tri"logues

After months of discussions, the European Parliament has reached its negotiating position on amendments to MiFID II and MiFIR in the EU MiFID Review. This means that we are finally moving from “stop and start” into third gear, with trilogues set to commence in April. We could see the final legislative changes agreed as soon as Q3 2023 which would, in turn, kick start ESMA activity on related RTS.
