Linklaters advises on the first permanent connected transaction waiver for the Hong Kong Stock Exchange

Linklaters advised China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited and China Merchants Securities(HK) Co., Limited, as joint sponsors, on China Tobacco International (HK)’s international unit listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX).

 

The HKEX granted China Tobacco International (HK) a permanent connected transaction waiver for its significant number of connected transactions, a first of its kind and an exceptional achievement by the company.

 

China Tobacco International (HK) is a wholly owned subsidiary of China National Tobacco Corp. Tobacco is a monopoly business in China, the company’s listing signifies the internationalisation and capitalisation of China’s tobacco industry.
