Linklaters advises Marubeni Corporation on the sale of its stake in the Gunfleet Sands offshore wind farm

Leading global law firm, Linklaters, has advised Marubeni Corporation on the sale of its 24.95% stake in the Gunfleet Sands offshore wind farm in the UK.

Marubeni Corporation has sold its stake to JERA Power International B.V. Ørsted A/S retains a 50.1% stake, while the Development Bank of Japan retains a 24.95% stake. The sale follows Marubeni’s divestment of its stake in the Westermost Rough project in March 2018. This is JERA’s first power generation business acquisition in Europe.

The Gunfleet Sands project has 172.8MW of installed capacity and is located off the South East coast of the UK. It consists of 48 fixed-bottom offshore wind power generators and began operations in April 2010.
