Linklaters announces two senior management appointments

Linklaters has appointed Matthew Middleditch as global chairman of its corporate division and Aedamar Comiskey as global head of the corporate division.

They will both begin their roles from 1 September 2016 and will work alongside corporate partner Charlie Jacobs, who becomes Linklaters’ senior partner on 1 October 2016.

Matthew, who is recognised as one of the world’s leading M&A lawyers, is currently the global head of the firm’s corporate division.  He is based in the firm’s Hong Kong office and has been a partner at the firm since 1990. He has advised on a range of major M&A deals, with a particular experience in advising banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions.

Aedamar is a corporate lawyer, based in London, whose track record in leading complex public and private M&A transactions has earned her a market-leading reputation across a range of sectors, including financial services, insurance, industrials and retail. She is the lead relationship partner for a number of the firm’s FTSE100 and FTSE250 clients and has done a number of  high-profile M&A deals in the Latin America market.
