Widyawan & Partners boosts banking and finance practice with prominent partner hire

Widyawan & Partners (the associated firm of Linklaters in Indonesia) is delighted to announce that Adrian Pranata has been appointed to the partnership to lead the firm’s banking and finance practice. Adrian joins from Hiswara Bunjamin & Tandjung where he has been since 2006.

Adrian is recognised as one of Indonesia’s leading banking practitioners, with a strong reputation for finance and banking transactions, including advising many of the world's major financial institutions and creditors on acquisition finance, debt restructuring, structured financings, bond issuance transactions, security structures for Indonesian banks and debt capital market financings. He also has extensive experience in Indonesian regulation of bank and financial sector companies.

Widyawan, Senior Partner of Widyawan & Partners, commented:

“As we continue to strengthen our position in an increasingly competitive market, the addition of a practitioner of Adrian’s quality reflects our continued ambitions to grow and develop our practice. We have regarded him as one of the leading practitioners in the region for some time and are delighted to have him on board.”

Philip Badge, Head of Banking for SE Asia at Linklaters commented:

“Indonesia is an important market for Linklaters and our close working relationship with Widyawan & Partners is a key part of our offering in the region. We are delighted that Adrian has joined – his financial institutions client base overlaps extensively with our own and we look forward to working closely with him to further develop our combined Indonesia offering.”

Adrian’s joining follows the addition of former Pertamina GC, Alan Frederik, to the partnership in October.
