Linklaters appoints Tom Shropshire as Head of its Global U.S. Practice
Linklaters is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Shropshire as head of its Global U.S. Practice. He takes over from Scott Bowie, who will be retiring from the partnership after more than a decade with the firm. The appointment is effective immediately.
In his new role, Tom will be responsible for further developing the firm’s Global U.S. Practice and continuing to enhance its reputation as one of the most integrated cross-border U.S. law practices.
Tom began his career at Linklaters in 1998 and has been a U.S. corporate partner in London since 2006. He focuses on some of the market’s most high-profile and complex M&A and equity capital markets transactions. Tom is also one of the architects of the firm’s Operational Intelligence Group (OIG). OIG is a global, multi-disciplinary team dedicated to helping clients effectively address the increasing risk, regulatory and governance challenges they face in their businesses. Tom will split his time between New York and London. He will continue to advise clients and retain his current client work, in addition to his leadership role.
