Linklaters hires Dr Neil George Weiand as partner

  • Dr Weiand will be based in Frankfurt
  • Internationally recognised banking and finance law expert

Frankfurt, 12 October 2017: Linklaters has strengthened its finance practice with the appointment of renowned banking and finance law expert, Dr Neil George Weiand.

Dr Weiand is an internationally recognised expert in acquisition finance, syndicated loans, spin-off finance and Schuldschein private placements. He joins Linklaters from Allen & Overy where he joined in 1998 and became partner in 2000. Since then he has advised a number of large enter-prises and banks on complex deals and large-scale financing transactions on a national and inter-national level. Prior to this, Dr Weiand worked at Deutsche Bank for seven years, where he held different positions in the group’s legal department focussing on the euro lending business and acquisition finance.
