Linklaters wears the rainbow with Pride

To celebrate LGB&T Pride month, Linklaters has, for the first time, changed the lighting scheme of its London office to rainbow colours. The reception area will be lit with the Pride rainbow for the duration of June.

Linklaters’ Pride celebrations were kicked off with a panel event on 31st May, marking the 50th anniversary of the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality. The panel was composed of Angus McGregor, Linklaters Director of Risk and Co-Sponsor of the firm’s LGB&T network, Christine Burns MBE, Equalities Consultant and Author, Lord Michael Cashman CBE, Co-founder of Stonewall, Paul Dillane, Executive Director of the Kaleidoscope Trust, Jan Gooding, Global Inclusion Director at Aviva and Rev. Jide Macaulay, Founding Pastor and CEO of House of Rainbow CIC.

Gideon Moore, Linklaters’ Managing Partner and sponsor of the firm’s LGB&T initiatives, said:

“We are passionate about creating an environment in which our LGB&T colleagues around the world can bring their whole selves to work and where every employee is valued for their talent. Being neutral is not enough. No one should be held back at work or in their personal lives because of their sexual orientation or gender identity and I am delighted that, for the first time, we are visibly signalling our commitment to LGB&T equality by lighting our London office reception areas in the colours of the rainbow.”
