Linklaters specialist real estate partner relocates to Hong Kong office

  • Xavier Hunter relocates to Hong Kong office to focus on surge of activity in APAC region
  • Xavier has over 25 years’ experience in real estate

Linklaters real estate partner, Xavier Hunter, has relocated from the firm’s Moscow office to its Hong Kong office to strengthen the firm’s commitment to real estate in the APAC region. The move comes in response to the increased appetite for both inbound investment for the APAC region and outbound real estate investment from Asia into European real estate.

Xavier has been at Linklaters for over 25 years, advising on real estate transactions. He has acted in some of the most complex real estate transactions around the globe, including advising on acquisitions and disposals of commercial, industrial and retail property, secured finance and leasing. Xavier has a particular specialism in real estate joint ventures and real estate M&A.

Andy Bruce, Global Head of Real Estate, London: “Asia capital flows into European real estate have become increasingly significant in recent years and developing our offering in this space is an essential part of our ongoing real estate sector strategy.
“Having Xavier in Hong Kong will enable us to further build our network of relationships with Asian real estate investors as well as to assist with transaction execution for European real estate mandates. Xavier’s expertise on the ground in Hong Kong will also be of great benefit to our real estate clients investing within Asia.”
