Twelve new promotions at Linklaters Luxembourg

Linklaters LLP Luxembourg is delighted to announce details of this year’s promotions. Twelve lawyers are moving up to new positions. Managing Partner Patrick Geortay says:

Aurélie Clementz from our Tax department has been promoted to Counsel. She has particular expertise in international transactions and tax planning for multinational groups, private equity and investment funds, as well as on the various tax aspects of merger and acquisitions, restructurings and joint ventures. Aurélie joined Linklaters 2006. She is a member of tax-related working groups of the Luxembourg fund industry association (“ALFI”) and of the insurance association (Association des Compagnies d’Assurance et de Réassurances de Luxembourg - “ACA”).

  • Tax

    Joakim-Antoine Charvet joined Linklaters in 2011 and specialises in tax consulting, international tax planning and the structuring of complex financial products.
  • Capital Markets and Banking

    Anna Christina Görgen joined Linklaters in 2007. Anna Christina focuses on debt securities, securitisation transactions, syndicated lending and acquisition finance. 
  • Investment Funds

    Martin Mager joined the Luxembourg practice in 2018 from the Munich office where he was practicing since 2011. Martin has specialist experience in structuring of alternative investment funds and advising institutional investors with regards to institutional fund investments. Additionally, Martin is a lecturer for accounting law at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. 
7 new Managing Associate
  • Capital Markets and Banking

    Diogo Casqueiro joined Linklaters in 2017. He advises international clients on regulatory matters with a particular focus on insurance and banking prudential rules. He has also expertise in cross-border securitisation transactions as well as in restructuring and insolvency matters.

    Katia Fettes has been with Linklaters since 2013. Her activity encompasses all types of general banking, regulatory and capital market matters, with a particular focus on asset finance, real estate finance and securitisation structures. 

    Harry Ghillemyn joined Linklaters Luxembourg in 2012. He has gained particular expertise in complex cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters, real estate finance, fund finance and securitisation transactions.
  • Employment

    Raphaëlle Carpentier, joined Linklaters in 2012. Raphaëlle has particular experience in labour law, advising both national and foreign companies in various aspects of employment, including litigation and general labour law advice. Additionally, she advises on environmental and applicable permit law aspects of real estate transactions. 
  • Investment Funds

    Sarah Bouazzouz joined Linklaters in September 2012. Her experience comprises both regulatory work in cross-border service provision and she is active in setting up UCITS and the restructurings of funds. 

    Arnaud Godfroid joined in 2013 and focuses on Luxembourg alternative investment funds particularly those with a real estate strategy, as well as co-investment vehicles and other vehicles outside of the AIFMD scope. 

    Adrien Timmermans arrived a year later in 2014 and has gained extensive experience in the structuring of alternative investment funds offering ongoing assistance to fund managers and promoters. Adrien further specialises in representing investors in respect to their investments into a variety of asset classes. 
Managing Professional Support Lawyer

Marie Arnaud-Rio joined Linklaters in 2017 and has extensive experience in the structuring and implementation of corporate transactions. As Managing Professional Support Lawyer Marie is responsible for the development and sharing of internal knowledge as well as the preparation of client knowhow.
