Piya is a managing associate based in London. She advises on complex, cross-border transactions across a range of corporate disciplines, with a particular focus on public and private M&A and joint ventures.

In 2018, Piya spent six months on secondment to BP.

  • Macquarie Asset Management on the acquisition of a significant minority stake in Best in Parking AG.
  • Reliance Industries on the £125m acquisition of sodium-ion battery technology company Faradion.
  • Tate & Lyle on the US$1.3bn sale of a controlling stake in its Primary Products business to KPS Capital Partners.
  • Vodafone on the carve-out of its European towers business in 10 countries into a new structure and the EUR 12.1bn listing of the new holding company Vantage Towers. 
  • Greene King on its £2.7bn recommended takeover by CK Asset Holdings. 
  • UBM on its £3.9bn recommended takeover by Informa.
  • Unilever on the €6.8bn auction sale of its global spreads business to private equity firm KKR.
  • Macquarie Capital and Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets on the acquisition and financing of 50% of Race Bank offshore wind farm from Ørsted (formerly DONG Energy).
