Shiori Sato

Overview

Shiori has broad experience in derivatives and structured finance. She has advised both domestic and international banks on a wide range of repackaging transactions, including advice on ISDA documentation, close-out netting, margin regulations and securities clearing systems.

Shiori also advises on debt capital markets transactions, primarily outbound deals involving multiple currencies, including senior debt issuances, bank and insurance company capital products, covered bonds and Medium Term Note (MTN) programmes. She further advises on equity capital markets transactions such as international equity offerings by Japanese companies and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).

Working in collaboration with the firm’s U.S. law-qualified practitioners, Shiori’s experience also covers the Regulation S and 144A transactions.

Shiori further focuses on investment funds practice, advising both domestic and international asset managers and investors on the financial regulations applicable to fund formations and distributions.

Beyond the Office

Shiori was seconded to the firm’s Hong Kong office from 2024 to 2025.
