Belgian Tax Authorities announce massive audit wave on wage withholding tax exemptions

The Tax Authorities recently sent out letters to several taxpayers in which they announced an upcoming audit wave focusing on wage withholding tax exemptions. Notably, the tax audits announced will not be restricted to specific exemptions such as for night and shift work or R&D activities but will cover any wage withholding tax exemptions (including COVID-19 related measures).
