Retained EU law to expire, unless Ministers restate or replace it

The Government has introduced the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Bill to Parliament. This follows the Government's paper on The Benefits of Brexit – How the UK is taking advantage of leaving the EU, where the proposed bill was referred to as the "Brexit Freedoms Bill". The Bill has been designed to bring the special status of retained EU law in the UK to an end, and gives Government Ministers extensive powers to restate or amend retained EU law.
