Linklaters' sports sector group – in prime position to capitalise on a global industry’s needs

The Covid pandemic has heralded an explosion in legal-related activity within the global sports sector. Multi-jurisdictional transactions, regulatory matters and dispute resolution cases across the sporting landscape have come more sharply under the microscope of most of the leading international law firms.

Linklaters' sports sector group, officially founded just three years ago, has gone from strength to strength in harmony with the more pressing requirements of clients in such an uncertain era. This month, on the alumni website two of the group’s co-leaders, Julian Davies in London and Sinziana Ianc in Düsseldorf, run through some of the major changes to have taken place over the past momentous years and how Linklaters has capitalised on its cross-border, inter-disciplinary expertise to place itself among the market leaders in the sports sector.

  • Sports expertise at Linklaters and how the pandemic has been an unlikely catalyst for its development – with Julian Davies and Siniziana Ianc.
  • May’s management profile – Sinziana Ianc on how a Managing Associate came to co-head an industry sector at Linklaters.
