Meghan L. O’Sullivan is the Jeane Kirkpatrick Professor of the Practice of International Affairs and the Director of the Geopolitics of Energy Project at Harvard University’s Kennedy School. On February 21, 2023, she was named the Director of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, effective July 1, 2023. The Belfer Center – which includes more than 300 scholars, practitioners, and former policymakers and consistently ranks as the world’s top academic think-tank – advances policy-relevant knowledge in the areas of international relations, security, technology, science, and energy and the environment.
Tom joined Federated Hermes Infrastructure in 2023 as Managing Director and has over 20 years of corporate finance experience, with a focus on the infrastructure sector. As a member of the senior leadership team, Tom is a member of the IIC and contributes across corporate finance, asset management and investor relations, providing specialist input into capital structure and fund raising activities. Tom started his career in investment banking at BNP Paribas and worked as the Head of Corporate Finance at Thames Water and as a Senior Advisor to OMERS Infrastructure before joining Federated Hermes.
Simon is the Head of Private Assets Product Management at Barings. He is responsible for the full lifecycle of Barings private asset funds and SMAs – from early-stage product ideation, through to Product launch and after for both the Institutional and Wealth markets. He covers all of Barings’ private asset classes (including Private Credit, Portfolio Finance, Capital Solutions, Real Estate Debt and Equity, and multi strategy) and all regions (EMEA, North America and APAC). Prior to joining Barings in 2014, Simon was at PwC for 8 years - holding roles across Asset Management, Insurance, Banking and Treasury divisions. Simon holds a Master’s in Physics from Oxford University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Gillian is a Managing Director in Macquarie Asset Management’s (MAM’s) Client Solutions Group, where she partners with clients in the UK and Ireland to match investment opportunities with clients’ objectives. She works across the breadth of MAM’s investment capabilities, including Infrastructure, Agriculture, Credit (Private and Fixed Income), Real Estate, and Equities. She is also an Executive Board Member for a number of MAM’s UK operating entities. Now with more than 20 years of client-facing experience in asset management roles in London, including 10 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management and four years at Insight Investment, Gillian began her career with roles at Permanent Trustee and Macquarie in Sydney. Gillian earned a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney.
Audrey Fassi-Fihri is a Senior Vice President in Blackstone’s Legal and Compliance Group and Head of Legal for Private Wealth EMEA. She oversees legal and compliance matters related to the structuring, launch, and operations of the firm’s individual investor-focused businesses in EMEA. Prior to joining Blackstone, Ms. Fassi-Fihri was a funds lawyer at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, specialising in private investment funds and alternative asset classes. She holds a BA in Law from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Law and Finance from the University of Oxford, and a Master 2 from Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas.
Chetan has been the Chief Investment Officer for Centrica’s pension scheme arrangements within a Common Investment Fund for the last 15 years, now doing that role within Schroders Solutions through an OCIO arrangement. He is responsible for providing support to the Directors of the Investment Committee. His role covers investment strategy considerations, asset class and manager research, and the liaison with the investment advisers.
He has 29 years industry experience, primarily from the consultancy side, where he spent 5 years as a pensions actuary and 10 years on the investment side, a large part of which was at Aon. Immediately prior to joining Centrica, he developed the Fiduciary Management offering at an asset manager where he was able to gain valuable experience on improving investment decision making governance structures.
Antoine Maduzzi (Director, London) joined KKR in 2022 and leads the EMEA effort for KKR Global Product Origination within Global Client Solutions. He helped form the Wealth product range for international clients and led their expansion. Prior to joining KKR, he spent eight years at Goldman Sachs in their cross-asset structuring team, more recently as executive director, within the global markets division. He helped form their unregulated fund platform in 2019. Mr. Maduzzi holds an MSc in Investment Management from Bayes Business School and a BSc in Economics from Maastricht University.
Archanna Ramu is Legal Director at EQT, supporting capital raising across EQT's global platform. She brings nearly 20 years of experience, having held senior legal and commercial roles at Invesco (Strategic Account Director and EMEA Senior Legal Counsel), Stepstone (Deputy GC), and BlackRock (VP - Global Private Funds and EMEA Institutional). Archanna began her legal career in M&A and has worked internationally in London, Zurich, Paris and Piraeus.
Jason is a partner in Linklaters’ Global Investment Funds practice and co-head of the U.S. Investment Funds practice. Jason focuses his practice on advising private fund sponsors and asset managers in connection with all aspects of fund formation, operation, governance and compliance issues. He has vast experience with an array of alternative asset classes, including private equity funds, real estate funds, credit funds, venture capital funds, secondaries funds, energy and infrastructure funds, funds of funds and hedge funds, both domestically and internationally.
Jason counsels fund sponsors with respect to portfolio investment acquisitions and dispositions, co-investments, joint ventures, seed arrangements, M&A transactions, spin-outs, fund restructurings and recapitalisations. His practice is global in nature, including representations throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
Based in Luxembourg, Silke is the Global Head of Linklaters’ Investment Funds practice and key contact for some of the largest global fund sponsors in private markets. With special expertise in alternative investment funds, she covers retail and professional funds: private equity, real estate, private credit and other alternative funds and investment management arrangements. Silke advises on the structuring, establishment and regulation of funds and asset management businesses. Her work includes the setting-up of co-investment structures, tailored managed accounts and asset management regulatory work. Alongside Silke’s extensive experience of diversified and tailored investment structures she is legal counsel to several retail investor flagship funds.
Markus is Partner in Linklaters’ Investment Funds practice and Global Co-Head of the Real Estate sector and acts for a range of leading sponsors and institutional cornerstone investors. He is also a member of the firm’s ESG working group and publishes regularly in this area.
Markus’ experience covers the structuring and management of funds, managed accounts and other investment products investing in illiquid assets, particularly in real estate, private equity, infrastructure and credit. He also has experience in joint ventures, fund finance, asset management M&A and secondary disposal of fund interests. He frequently represents international institutional investors, in particular insurance companies and pension funds in their international investments in investment products, funds, joint ventures and co-investments.
Martin is a partner in Linklaters’ Global Investment Funds practice. He has specialised experience with regard to the structuring, establishment and ongoing advice of alternative investment funds (sponsor practice) as well as advising institutional investors with regard to investments in international fund structures (investor practice).
Martin advises in a wide range of asset classes including private equity, real estate, infrastructure, green energy, debt, venture capital and impact. His work includes all types of investment fund structures including segregated managed accounts and investment-type securitisation structures. Finally, he advises on all fund-related ESG matters. His advice covers the legal, regulatory and tax aspects both from a Luxembourg and German perspective.
Rahul is a partner in Linklaters’ Global Investment Funds practice. He has extensive experience of transactional and advisory work in relation to a broad range of open and closed-ended investment funds, aimed at institutional and retail clients.
