FCA outlines draft ESG disclosure rules for UK financial services

The FCA has opened a consultation on its sustainability disclosure requirements regime and accompanying investment labels. This builds on a 2021 discussion paper and is a key part of delivering the UK government’s roadmap to sustainable investing. The FCA’s proposals go further than the EU’s SFDR as they introduce specific obligations for distributors of investment products and a general anti-greenwashing rule for all FCA regulated firms.
