ESG – why today’s global priority for General Counsel is more important than ever

Just three letters but ESG is arguably the most notable development in the commercial world in the past five years. Environment, societal and governance issues have played a natural part in various practice areas at a number of law firms but few have built the integrated and global ESG expertise that is on offer to clients at Linklaters.

On the alumni website, David Ballegeer, Rachel Barrett and Raza Naeem talk about the relentless rise of ESG to the top of the agenda of every practice area and industry sector. They explain the new regulatory world that exists in this field and what clients are seeking when they look to Linklaters to be their trusted advisers on everything from climate change to supply chains.

We also profile a pair of Linklaters lawyers with a strong focus on ESG. Hong Kong based Gilly Hutchinson as the firm’s Head of ESG Regional Development in Asia, and Brussels Managing Associate Guillaume Croisant’s all-round dispute resolution practice features a strong focus on ESG issues.
