Freddie is a Managing Associate in Linklaters' Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations practice, based in London.

Freddie is a specialist in commercial dispute resolution, focussing in particular on public law (including judicial review challenges and public inquiries), commercial litigation, crisis management and sports regulatory issues. He has experience advising clients in courts ranging from the County Court to the Court of Appeal.

Freddie is interested in the use of technology to resolve disputes efficiently. He spent a year in the Firm's innovation team, focussing on the selection and adoption of new LegalTech for disputes.

Alongside working in London, Freddie spent six months as a trainee in the Firm's Hong Kong Banking team.

Work experience:
  • Camelot: Advising the operator of the National Lottery, Camelot, in its challenge to the UK government’s award of the Fourth Licence, a case described in the Court of Appeal as “the procurement case of the century”
  • Trustees: Advising the trustees of a number of related trusts in relation to a potential judicial review challenge against HMRC.
  • Construction products manufacturer: Advising a construction products manufacturer in relation to a major public inquiry, related investigations and multiple claims arising in relation to one of its products.
  • Sports team: Advising on a series of regulatory issues between a sports team and its governing body.
  • Experian: Advising Experian on its successful appeal of an ICO enforcement notice.
  • Professional services firm: Advising a major accountancy and professional services firms on a significant internal investigation in light of allegations regarding professional misconduct by certain individuals.
  • Post-closing disputes: Advising a number of buyers/sellers in relation to post-closing valuation or accounting disputes.
  • Advisory issues: Advising clients on issues including harassment, human rights law, litigation privilege and the application of the Bribery Act and Proceeds of Crime Act.

Freddie read Law at Durham University.
