Overview

Magnus heads the Stockholm office Banking & Finance team.

He has led on numerous top tier and complex cross-border finance transactions and restructurings for over 25 years, representing private equity clients, Nordic and global banks, credit funds, fintech clients and corporate clients.

Magnus experience cover a wide range of areas, including leveraged finance, restructurings, corporate credits, project finance and energy transition projects.

Before joining Linklaters, Magnus was partner at another global elite firm.

Work Highlights
  • Goldman Sachs: advising on the green and infrastructure project finance of the in Regenery Frövi, a subsidiary of the Selected Waste-To-Life Fund
  • Triton: advising on the bond and debt financing of the acquisition of the MacGregor group
  • SSAB: advising on the financing of their €4.5bn green transformation project in northern Sweden. This includes €2.3bn in debt facilities guaranteed by SACE, the Italian export credit agency, and the Swedish National Debt Office
  • A private equity sponsor: advising on the debt financing in connection with the recapitalisation in 2024 of their portfolio company within the healthcare sector
  • Magnus experience from his previous law firm includes numerous top tier financings and restructurings for leading private equity sponsors, financial institutions, credit funds and corporate clients

Education and qualifications

Magnus holds a LL.M. from the University of Stockholm and a B.Sc. with major in business administration from Stockholm Business School, University of Stockholm.
