The team

Our ESG group in Spain is a multidisciplinary team of expert lawyers composed of 3 partners, 6 counsels, 4 senior knowledge lawyers, and 5 managing associates from all practice areas of the firm, including Commercial Law, Finance, Regulated Sectors, Regulatory, Employment, Litigation, and Real Estate.

The creation of this cross-functional working group allows us to offer our clients specialized and comprehensive advice that covers all angles, whether it's adapting to new requirements or conducting complex operations. It enables us to pivot quickly, responding to their needs and helping their business tackle ESG challenges as they arise.

The team meets regularly to analyse regulatory developments in the field and share updates, with briefings on the progress of the working group’s initiatives. We also anticipate potential client needs with an eye on the international landscape. We leverage the experience and capabilities provided by our extensive network of offices in other jurisdictions, mainly in the EU, the U.S., the United Kingdom, and Asia.

We are leaders in advising on sustainable financing in the Spanish market. As advisors to corporates and to financing/banking institutions, we have been involved from the start of this new trend in numerous issuances of green loans and ESG instruments (green bonds and SLBs).
